"My name is Melissa Pique, and I’ve been blessed to call Halls Crossroads, Tennessee home for the past 25 years. I’ve been married to my husband, Todd, for just as long, and together we share a wonderful life with our son, Landon, who is 21, and my beautiful stepdaughter, Alyssa, who is 30. We also have the smartest and most lovable Goldendoodle, Koufax, who brings joy to our home every day.

I have been blessed with the most amazing parents, John and Peggy, who have been married for nearly 55 years. They devoted their lives to serving the Lord and made sure that our home was built on faith, love, and Christ‑centered values. Their example of selflessness and Christlike living has shaped the person I am today. I also have a wonderful brother, Sean, along with his wife, Adele, and their son, Henry, who bring even more joy to our family.

I have spent the past 18 years working in the mortgage industry at Vanderbilt Mortgage, but before Tennessee became home, I spent my early childhood in Western Kentucky. Kentucky remains close to my heart—not only because I’m a proud fan of my Kentucky Wildcats, but because it’s where I first met the Lord. I can still remember being about seven years old, trying to fall asleep one Sunday night after hearing a message about the rapture. The Holy Spirit spoke to my heart, showing me that I was lost and in need of a Savior. With my parents by my side, I knelt beside my bed and asked the Lord to come into my heart. I have never experienced a peace like I did on that night.

When I was ten, my dad’s job brought us to Tennessee, and I’ve been here ever since. I’ve been a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Lenoir City for nearly 40 years. I am grateful to belong to a church that loves the Lord deeply and strives to serve the community with purpose. One of my greatest blessings is getting to assist my mom in teaching Sunday School for 3rd–5th graders—an experience that has brought me so much joy and growth.

My favorite Bible verse is Lamentations 3:22–23, a reminder that God’s mercies are new every morning and His faithfulness never fails. My favorite book of the Bible is Ruth, a beautiful picture of Jesus’ redeeming love. And one of my favorite worship songs is “Goodness of God,” because it reminds me daily of how the Lord holds me, guides me, and protects me from the things of this world

Recently, my bosom friend of 41 years, Carrie McMillan, called to share that she was starting a nonprofit organization called God’s Kidz, an outreach designed to teach God’s Word to children of all ages. She told me the Lord had laid it on her heart to ask me to join her in this mission. After praying about it, I knew God was calling me to say yes.

I have tried to live my life for the Lord, but I often feel and know that I haven’t done enough to be the witness He deserves. I believe this opportunity is God giving me a way to step forward, serve with purpose, and make a difference for His Kingdom. I am humbled, grateful, and excited to be a part of God’s Kidz and to help share His love with the next generation."

"My name is Rachel Pfleger. I have been married to my husband for 5 years and we have a 2 year old daughter. The Lord saved me when I was 13 years old and has been working in my life ever since. I attend a baptist church where I teach elementary age Sunday school. Kids ministry has always held a special place in my heart and I knew God’s Kidz was something the Lord was calling me to be apart of. I’m so excited to be apart of God’s plan and sharing the Gospel with those in our path."

Doncella is an experienced financial professional with deep expertise across finance, accounting, and mortgage banking. She held board of directors’ positions on several nonprofit boards dedicated to supporting women, minorities, the disadvantaged, and religious communities. She is currently serving on two nonprofit boards, where she continues to provide strategic insight, financial oversight, and mission-driven leadership.
She believes that serving on the Godz Kidz’ Board of Directors is a direction from the Lord. She considers this role both a calling and a responsibility to contribute her professional skills in support of this faith-based outreach and education.
Beyond her professional and community commitments, she is passionate about health and fitness. Her hobbies include participation and competing in sports such as weightlifting,
powerlifting, and running, reflecting her discipline and resilience in several aspect of her life.

"Hi, my anme is Suzanne! I am a Three Year Old Lead Preschool Teacher at Concord Christian Preschool. I began with CCP in 2013. I also serve as Chair of our Safety Steward and Community Outreach at my church Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church.

My previous experience includes being a  Preschool Director for six years,  serving multiple terms on The Emmaus Board and working within the Preschool setting since 1990. 

In my spare time I love reading, singing and praising God and, most of all, being a mother to Ellyana born in 2010 and wife to Scott since 2007".

Suzanne lives in Knoxville, Tn. with her husband and daughter where they enjoy living and serving in many ways in their area. 

Suzanne has been a great blessing to many as a teacher, mentor, friend, daughter, mother and wife, but most of all loves knowing she is a daughter of a King and loved beyond measure by her Lord and Savior! 

"Hi, I am Anna Russell. I live in Loudon with my husband, Brian, and this year we are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We have the privilege of serving together at our home church, where we sing on the praise team and enjoy being actively involved in the life of our church family.
We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to share our faith with others. Having both been raised in Christian homes, we recognize the blessing that foundation has been in our lives. We thank Jesus for His faithful provision and for the many ways He has blessed us over the years.

For the past 24 years, I have devoted my life to teaching children in both faith-based and secular settings. I have led classrooms, prepared devotionals, and watched countless young minds develop not only academically, but spiritually. Through these experiences, I have witnessed firsthand the beautiful impact of Christian teaching — how it anchors children in truth and fills them with confidence and hope.
I believe there is no greater foundation we can give a child than knowing the love of Jesus.
Children are not too young to understand love, grace, kindness, and truth. When they learn about Jesus in a group setting, they are not simply hearing Bible stories — they are discovering that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved by God.
In our ministry, we teach in ways that are age-appropriate, engaging, and relational. Through storytelling, music, prayer, and hands-on activities, children begin to understand who Jesus is and how His love shapes the way we live.
I have witnessed children retelling Bible stories to their classmates in their own words and sharing them with their families around the dinner table. These “little people” carry big truths in their hearts. This ministry impacts children in a powerful and lasting way.
As we see in  Matthew 19:14,  Jesus welcomed children — and we do the same. My prayer is that every child who is involved in God's Kidz will know they are loved by God and equipped to love others."
